Jiffy-DrillPostive Stroke Stop:This option allows the limitation of the drill stroke to a fixed length. This feature is ideal when using the full stroke could possibly damage your fixture or when drill depth is critical. If this option is used in a depth critical application, your control circuit should be set up for drill dwell and setting your switch activation to initate the dwell time just prior hitting the positive stop. After dwell, you need to send a signal to the control valves to retract the drill. Also, you must use an adjustable tool holder to adjust depth when you have tool wear or during initial setup. When ordering this option, specify the full length of desired stroke. The factory will install an internal positive stop that will limit the drill to this stroke. Shorter strokes are still accessible by adjusting the limit switches located under the drill switch cover. Different positive stops require different internal stops, and are not recommended on the same drill unit. Please consult the factory for additional information. |
