Jiffy-Drill

Cutting Fluids and Coolants:

Drilling, reaming or spot facing should be done with a good grade of lubricant/coolant. Your local supplier can recommend the best type for the material being worked.

It is best to have the coolant coming out the drill flutes, toward the Jiffy-Drill if possible. This helps to wash out chips which otherwise would load the drill. On many jobs the parts should be flooded with coolant to carry away chips and heat and to lubricate the drill.
